i was just wondering if the V505 housing suppose to be loose.
i mean when its close, the "door" is kinda have some foreplay. it moves from side to side.
is that normal? i got my phone on Tuesday and if it not normal, im just gonna return it.

that's definitely not normal. I just purchased mine about 20 days ago, and there's no wiggling, or lose door. And, man I love this phone. I'd say definitely swap it out

one more thing, is there a better term than the 'door'? whats the exact name given for the whole flip partition?

The V505 looks like most of the Vxxx series phones. I would imagine if you open the back battery cover there are two torx screws which needs to be tighten just a bit. You would need #6torx tool found in Sears or any local tool store.

its only the flipper i have problem with. it opened and closed fine, just that the flipper move from side to side when i push it.
i might be wrong but i think the screws in the battery compartment is for the housing.
thank you though.

On the V600, the top screws goes through the top sliver hinges. If you look a V600 front view when it is close, I am refering the two chrome tabs slightly above the camera lens on both sides. The screws tightens up the fliper for it.

i understand wat u mean. mine looks like theres a gap between flipper and the hinges. i used to have a samsung flipped phone and its tight as hell. seems like the seems has shrunk or something. or maybe theres a flaw in the design. i wished it was the v600 with v505 software.

Look at the V505. you have two little plastic things in line with the speakerphone. Looking from the back, they are above the cover to the battery. You do not need to take the battery out. Look about 3/4 of an inch down from the top of the phone. The screws are beneath the two little plastic things. They just pop out. If you can't figure it out let me know and I'll make an image of it.
