Well I got it file transfer working through Bluetooth. I feel ripped off by Motorola though for purchasing $30 software that I cannot get to work.

MPT is not freeware, you will need to buy it off ebay or from Motororla.

Hi there,
You need Motorolas phone tools.
The 'lite' version of this comes with the phone and you should have got this. This is all you need. It's a simple case of dragging and dropping the MP3s over.
Do you mean the "lite" version comes pre-installed? Because, if not, I believe you're mistaken. I'm looking inside the box my month-old V3 Razr came in, and there's nothing that resembles such a thing. I would imagine there'd be an installation disc for the phone, but there's no such thing.
And, if I am correct, that means Motorola wants me to spend another $30 just so I can take an MP3 from my computer and put it on my phone? After spending $300 (before rebate) on this thing, I would hope that's not the case. Most devices that are a fraction of that cost come with an installation disc.

My phone has the firewire camera connection on it, i connect it to my computer but it says i need to install software for it to function. Hi everyone I was reading/searching through all the posts but I can't seem to find any on my specific topic.
I have a Black Motorola Razr v3 and I bought the software and I already have a previous USB cable from my Sony camcorder.
Whenever I open mobile Phone Tools, it says there is a connection...and all that good stuff, but when I click on Mobile Explorer, it doesn't recognize the phone. I restarted mobile phone tools and the only thing I can do is upload pics and ringtones from my computer. I clicked Mobile explorer again and the screen froze for 5 seconds or so and said "Cannot recognize phone"
please help I have some pictures I'd like to transfer from my camera.
