I hear ya. I still have not seen a solution for this. I am on the Alltel network, and have the right software and cable. Do I need to unlock this phone first?

Hello,
I've read through the pages and followed the steps. I have created the ring tone I want. However, I cannot figure out how to email it to my phone. I have searched everywhere, but I cannot figure it out. Please let me know how to do this. Thanks in advance.

A quick question here, where exactly does the file go once its downloaded? And can I attach more than one song to the email? This is the 6th time i'm trying this and hopefully this time it'll work. Any help is much appreciated.

Cricket is now offering the V265 to its customers. They are not as well developed or maintained as VZ, so it seems like I can do a lot of stuff without it getting filtered.
If you are using Cricket and want to send yourself a ringtone, here's what you have to do.
Send a MMS message to your e-mail address
Go on the net and find a .mid file you like
Find software to help you edit the .mid and chop the part you want
Reply to the e-mail you get from your phone, and attach the file
MP3's so far have NOT worked for me. From a computer related point of view, you CAN'T change a .MP3 file extension to a .MID. You need special software to do it, and you can't do it without loss. You can't change an exe file to a zip without software, right?

Hey guys, this is my first post. I can download the mp3's on to my phone, but it saves it as a qcp file or whatever just like a couple of you. Then I saw an ad for FunForMobile and someone said that worked. So I tried sending it through that and when I saw my phone receiving it, It flashed and went blank, then came on and said "No Service" then went back to normal after a few seconds. Now I can't even send midi files to my phone. Anyone else getting this? Or should I just go get that cable for it?

Has anyone been successful doing this with the v265 on the Telus network in Canada? I have tried and the file shows up as <FILE> but there is no option to save it to the phone and it will not play.
