When the phone lit up, did Windows prompt for drivers? Look in your email for patch. See if this works for you.

You reboot computer? It must be those drivers that you are missing. It needs it.

Do you see motorola pst under add or remove programs? What do you see under modem in phone & modem?

Look in to you harware in device manager you should have some things like motorola modem interface and other five thing. Fone modem is for MPT, PTS little deferent. Try to deleted your fone modem, reboot, now with fone blug in window ask for drive directed to PST then you see it start to install all six of the drivers then when it all work , you can close PST and open MPT and reinstall fone modem the it'll work fine form there on. Good luck

I checked the Phone and Modems and I saw Motorola USB Modem Attached to Com4.

And in Ad and Remove Programs I Saw the program Motorola PST listed.

But no difference, same error.

Delete that fone modem, then reboot and then plug you fone in by now win will prompt you that it has find the new hard ware and will try to install driver for it. But when it pop up a sreen that have 3 or more boxes to check somehting like look for driver in window... chose the one that say select specific location(advance) then point it to you PST folder. sample C:\program\ PST and that should install the 6 drivers needed to run PST
