in easy gprs go to File > Setup >
Com ports, select 'irda' >
speed, select '57600' >
click 'ok
you can either click on 'reload' button below 'file' button or you can restart. i always restart just to make sure connection is made.
after connection, you should be able to download phonebook, upload ring. let me know if that works for you.

Are your connection speeds set to115200, this is high but works on mine just make sure you set both device and easy gprs, on easy gprs in port option do you have an irda option?
Forgive me if this sounds obvious, but have you activated irda on your phone before opening easy gprs?
what os are you using?

Did you set IrDa as port in the EasyGPRS settings?
