I have just got a Motorola v600 and am hoping to use the bluetooth feature to sync my contacts with Outlook (running on windows xp) and to transfer pictures and other files between the phone and computer.

The manual does not give any information at all!! However I have purchased a USB bluetooth dongle which installed ok and have set up a connection between the pc and phone.

My question is now how do I use it??? Do I need yet more software or can I use OBEX transfer. I cant seem to view the phone's files from the pc or vs/vs but dont really know how this is my first use of bluetooth.

Thanks for any help.

First of all did you have the pc and fone pair up via BT? Well incase you don't I'll tell you any way.
plug in your dongle ther should be a cd came with it that have BT software call Blue manager. Opne Bluemanager hit find bluetooth device and then on your fone go to setting __> connection__> Bluetooth--> setup__> Find me it take few seconf then pc will prompt you that is findea motorola fone with a fone icon double click on that and your fone will ask you if you want to pair up with pc hit yes then it will ask you for password default is 0000 then pc will ask to confirm enter 0000 and you r there shoule see three folders now audio, picture and music if not clik on root folder . Good luck and keep posting
BTW if you got thru all that then drag and drop is pretty much work with pics , sound the othe stuff yes use OBXE to do it if you have a cd there should be a guid how to use it in there

I dont have a programme with that name but something that sounds very similar. Connected up as you said using the pin and can click on the motorola symbol but no files or folders appear. Just blank screen or sometimes a window which says no connection could be established.

Did you chose the option of manualy update it which would allow you to chose specific location so the you can point it to the program that you install from cd cause your driver is in there. Sample point it to C:\program\Blue manager3.1 try that
