I hate to sound like a newbie, but that's what I am. How do I find offset 4b? I don't get it. I see 4D and other things, what am I missing?

His tutorial was very simple to follow. Use p2kman to download the seem 0032_0001 to your computer, edit what is necessary with the xyclops tool, then at the top where it says [tools]. GO THERE, and select the only option available. [Modify bit setting]! type [4b] then click [seek], select what he instructed [6] then click "Okay" close and save, then upload your seem back to your phone, then et voila! it works! g'luck icon_wink.gif

I found the Motorola Tool & xvi32 and P2kman installed and ran all of the programs, changed the seem's but I cant figure out how to get the changed seems back on to my v600. I've tried both the PC to Phone button and the Upload Seem button. Any ideas on how to get the changed seem to go on to my phone?

Where are you guys talking about the date on v600's. I only have the time in the bottom right hand corner. I don't see the date anywhere on the screen....

I just noticed that

Under my carrier logo "Rogers"
it says the date in the middle, then it changes to "GPRS" and thats the way it stays.

Anybody know why I cannot connect P2k Tools to my phone?

I can connect MPT just fine but my p2k tools dun work.

Ok, edit. I can connect the phone during AT mode, but when I switch to PK mode it disconnects and I can't get it back online again. What gives?

Ok, edit one more time. I can only connect in AT mode on com 3. When I switch to P2K mode, com 3 disappears as an option and I can't connect. What gives guys?

I was able to modify my v180 so that it removed the T-Mobile text, however it replaced it with the date. This is fine as it is not otherwise shown and it centered fine. However, once I did this, my custom settings for the Home Screen keys no longer worked. When I go to the personalize screen, my custom settings are still reflected but do not work. I was able to get it back to the way it was by restoring the original seem, but would still like to get rid of the T-Mobile text and retain my customized Home Screen Key settings.

Help...

The same thing happened to me on my v220. The left and right home keys became volume adjusters and the date is shown where the cingular text used to be. I restored the old seem to get it back to normal, but it would be nice to remove the cingular tag w/o other things changing on me.

I didn't notice it b4, but the v220 doesn't display the date on the screen. I have to look for it in the menus. Is there a way to have the date display permanently on either the inside or outside lcds?

Replace your 01a8_0001 seem with this one. Backup your own one before uploading new.
