well, here is my problem, i don't have the gprs icon, and just changing the seems and taking the provider off, only changes what is says to USA-260, and the date stays the same, i changed the outer lcd by just making my own gif, and changing it to cl.gif in /a/mobile/system, but i'm having a hard time trying to get the inner lcd to display anything but either the date off to the side, the date and t-mobile, or the date and USA-260, any other ideas

For the V220 I've noticed a few things. If I start out editing with the Provider tag left justified, nothing happens.

If i re-upload the original 01a8_0001.seem and 0032_0001.seem file, adjust to centering, then again edit and upload and restart phone, the date is now displayed.

I edited 01a8_0001.seem file to eliminate the date. And while it did work, there is a side effect... Now when I am in a call, it does not display the in call time any longer. It just shows a colon as in Connected 00:00:32 becomes Connected :

After trying many different ways and suggestions, it always seems to come down to a choice. Provider tag and lose In-call timer, or Vice Versa.

Is there any way to eliminate carrier name while keeping the in call timer function on a V220? I doubt anyone has even noticed this side effect. Never seen anyone post it anywhere.

Yes, I'm sure I did it right. Tried it nearly 40 times.

GUYS,

I have tried everything and cannot get my moto v505 to display the date. Instead it shows GPRS. When i power on the unit, it would temporarily display the date but then it switches to GPRS. Any idea what would cause that?

I saw on the beginning of this thread that one would need these items:
Motorola Tool & xvi32
Does anyone know where I can get these? I already have the P2K stuff.
Thanks

I am new at this- and I have a Motorola v3c. Is there anyway to delete the animated pictures in the picture menu? icon_confused.gif
Do I need the data kit? If I get the data kit can I download more wallpapers? I'd like to make my own.
Thanks
Tina
