i am going to buy a SE k700i or nokia 6230 but before buying i have some questions to ask
1. does SE have limited memory for mp3's?
2. how many mp3's can be stored in one time?
3. and how much one mp3 will occupy space?(i had listen that any song exceeding 40kb will not be stored)or is there is no limit
4. and how do we listen radio?

Hi,
The K700i has 41 meg of memory which is not expandable (unlike the nokia).
All the momory can be used for MP3s if you want.
The amount of tracks stored will depend on the size of the tracks and its compression (there is no limit, 40k wouldnt give very good quality tracks).
To listen to the radio, you need to plug the headphones in (which come supplied), these act as an arial. The radio can be listened either through the headphones (stereo) or through the phones own speaker (mono). The radio is crystal clear and of very good quality.
My friend has the 6230, and i think its a really nice phone, but the sony has a much better quality larger screen, and that was the one i chose.

There is no USB port, although you can get a USB cable, which connects onto the phone then onto your computer. The one i bought allows you to connect the mains lead to the phone also, so i can charge it as i down load things.

I downloaded MP3's to my phone using bluetooth and it took about 5 minutes for each song. It depends on the size of the file. The audio files should be found in the Sounds folder and video files in the Videos folder. I think that's how it's supposed to work.
How do you download the files into your phone? IR will take longer time than bluetooth. Not sure about cable because I've never used it.
If your phone's battery life is too short, try upgrading the firmware. I upgraded mine and battery life is much better. I get about 3-4 days for light to normal use.

Firmware is, as far as I know, the lowest software level above the hardware level.
To check your firmware version, do the sequence from standby screen:
> * < < * < * (< and > are joystick movements)
Then select Service info, Software info.
The first line will tell you your firmware version.
The easiest way to upgrade your firmware is to bring your phone to a Sony Ericsson Service Center (or something similar, forgot the official name).

You can update the firmware yourself if you've got the proper cable.
