I'm interested in getting the S700 but have seen that some ppl are complaining that the phone is SLOW! Anyone have the SE S700 with the same problem or are they isolated cases? icon_question.gif
Please let me know what ya'll think bout this phone as i'm really keen on getting it but worried about performance.
Thanx

It feels faster then my t610, about the same as my z600. With 262K colors instead of 65K and a very young firmware, I think things will get better

yeah wot u ususally find is that the first few versions of firmware are quite buggish, the earlier versions of the t610 were notorious for it, after the first few batches of phones have went out then the problems usually get ironed out, personally i'm waiting till around january-feb until i get mine

I've had my S700i a week now and can honestly say the menus aren't that much slower than other SE models I've owned. The T610 was quicker but my K700i used to slow down over time and was actually worse than S700i.

As mentioned firmware version is a major factor, my K700i had an early release. My S700i has R3C002, the first Vodafone release but still isn't too bad. I'm told there's an unbranded R3F008 release which fixes a number of bugs and will speed up the menus too. That's what I'll be putting on when I can get the debranding software working.
