When I open multiflashflex, it won't say that my v400 is connected? I downloaded and installed PST, and the patch... I'm trying to install different software on the phone that I purchased off of ebay, and this is giving me a headache.

Are you able to run pst andp2kman fine? If so, you should not have problem running multiflash flex. What software did you purchased from ebay to upgrade your phone?

Sounds like confliction error. Make sure that PST is closed and open up Task Manager and make sure the PST 'Process' is not running still.

Thanks for your quick replies guys.
I cannot run PST, or P2KMan. It says it can't connect to the phone?
I purchased the upgrade to the Aston Martin Software... I never thought it'd be this difficult.

First let re do everything!. unintall your fone modem, reboot--> glug fone in so that win to start detected new hardwear, DO NOT let wizar do this automaitc cause it will install wrong or genetic drivers and it won't work. Chose the opiton of specific location(advance) and piont to your PST folder, example C:\program\ PST and it should install about 4 to 6 drivers i don't remember but some thing like motorola usb interface, test command inter face and so on. One you have that then start to Flex a way, and remember only one program can be open at a time to avoid sharing port and modem. Good luck and keep posting

Thanks. I just tried that, and it still won't work. When I plugged the phone in, I installed "Motorola V400 Phone" by choosing advanced, and telling the wizard to search my PST folder for the software. That installed fine. Then I installed something about interface? It said it also installed properly. However, when I went into Control Panel and then to device manager, there is now a USB called "USB Compostie Device" that has a yellow ! next to it, like it's not working or something? I still cannot get a connection, PST won't run...

Unplug the phone and uninstall the software. After thats done restart your re-installation with phone unplugged. Once softwares installed and you reboot follow these steps:
1.) Plug in the phone
2.) Wait for add new hardware wizard to come up
3.) select 'Install from a list or specific location' hit next
4.) deselect 'search removable media' and browse for the folder (C:\Program Files\motorola\PST\) then hit next
5.) It should find and install the driver.
6.) Once the little bubble from the taskbar comes up saying 'New hardware installed and ready' Unplug the phone from USB and wait 10 seconds and plug in again.
7.) Repeat step 6 until you are not asked to install anymore drivers.
Now you should be able to use PST and P2kman.

Okay I think it's connecting now, but now when I try to opend multiflashflex, it says that it can't detect a security key? A few little windows open and close before this, like they're detecting something, and then it just tells me that it can't detect a security key, and multiflashflex won't open...
