Hi all! Just got a new LG C1300 with Cingular. I have a few questions that I can't find anywhere in the user guide--no real big surprise there!)
Here are a few of my issues. If anyone has any info or tips it would be VERY much appreciated!
1.) There is a confirmation "ding" from the phone whenever a setting is changed or made. It seems to be consistent (volume wise) with the volume of the ring tone. Does anyone know any way to change the tune or get rid of it?
2. The phone came with about 5 pre-installed message alert tones. Does anyone know a way to add downloaded tones to this?
3. Any recommendations for a brand of data cable? Also, what software do I need to have for transferring files from my pc to my phone?
Thanks a lot guys!!!

I got my cable off e-bay. But aside from the driver (came with the cable), I had to download software from a Great britian site.

Also do you know if that stupid "CINGULAR" in big letters on the main screen can be deleted?

The c1300 is locked to Cingular. The are ways to flash the software I am sure. The few articles I have read about it on other phones made it sound like not a good idea. As I remember, the display was messed up after it was flashed according to at least one article.

I downloaded the LG GSM software from http://uk.wowlg.com/uk/phones/h_mnsw_list.jsp
and the L1100 software worked for me. The only thing that does not work is the java transfer. Does anyone know how to transfer java over?
