There is, was and never will be a PC Suite for the 3300!

The 3300 is a fun phone for young people who want a phone which can play mp3, not for people who really need the use of PC Suite (like managers most do).

You might can get it to work with Oxygen Phone Manager II
www.oxygensoftware.com

It has support for the 3300 (accourding to the informations on the website)

yes there is a suite for the 3300, oxygen phone manager. But you do need a different cable. it is the M2BUS, F-BUS it costs quiet alot tho.
i have found the cable on varios sites but all ove £40 i cant afford this but i have found a site but cannot remeber it. when i find it i will post it on her i think it is £19 ish but you then need to buy a different cable so it can connect to the other cable it is very confusing.
i do not know if this works yet as i have not tried it. I have been researching this since christmas, when i bought the phone. but i have been getting by by going on wap sites. there are quiet a few wap sites where you can upload your own pictures. there is a site where not only you can upload your own pictures but you can also upload some small screensavers www.zedge.no/index.php i find this site very good and it doesn't cost a penny the only money you have 2 dish out is the call to wap.
i will try and buy that cable and i will you lot the out come. by the way i am only 15, i have put alot of my time into this i have stayed up nearly every nite trying to find things i think i have found the solution.
wow i have finaly told other 3300 users for the first time. i hope you find this useful.

p.s i must say that the M2BUS, F-BUS cable is very rare and costs loads of money, which i cant afford at this age.

Howdy from Texas. As far as being expensive, thought I'd point out a pretty cheap way to get your hands on a M2BUS cable. There's a pretty neat website called eBay (slight sarcasm here icon_wink.gif )where you can do a quick search for "M2BUS" and find them as cheap as seven or eight US bucks. And if you're converting that to your currency, it'll be even cheaper. icon_smile.gif

Take care, and good luck. If you find anything, give me a holler on AIM at Soriano kun

i too have this phone .. and beleive me if Nokia had gave this phone a bit attention then this cud be one of the most popular sets for Nokia well leave it, its upto Nokia.
Coming to the point, i too have all these problems with my 3300, i've heared from someone that there are only 2 ways by which u can transfer Games, Apps and Pics to ur 3300 and that are
1: through GPRS
2: through DAU-9P Data cable for Nokia and after that installing the Oxygen Phone Manager 2
i've got the oxygen phone manager and installed it, it has that option for DAU-9p data cable but i dont have DAU-9p data cable .. so everyone here Please try this trick and if it worked then Let us know !!

You can upload mp3 files from the fone to ur PC.Just install the DKU-2 driver from the nokia web site and connect up the fone and drag and drop files up or down. But no other file format works for eg.jpeg,or .doc,or .xl.any one cracked that do give me a buzz, bye.

i'm new here so please bear with me..
i've been using my 3300 for quite sometime and after awhile I realized that it suits my musical needs but unfortunately not as a whole phone it should be. Knowing that it's firmware was built on a series 60 platform but works as a series40, I thought it could offer more. then again I was wrong, the phone seems to be lacking in a whole lot. I am right now trying to find a patch or somesort to upgrade the firmware but to no avail. It is where i came across this page and from what i read in here I wish to add some details hoping that we all will benefit from it.
first of all the cable does work. Secondly a vendor told me that 3300 should come equipped with a standard USB cable(hence the fact that 3300 has no infrared nor bluetooth capability) and the PC suit. which unfortunately only cater to the organizing of music data. I tried using Nokia PC suits of other models thinking that I could utilize and open new features of the phone. unfortunately, it was a wild goose chase... it IS a music phone after all. third, should your firmware becomes unstable, the only way to fix it is to use Nokia authorized vendor PC suit(software) which for all I know is not made available to the public. Those interested should be prepared to spend a hefty sum for it. So it seems that, until this vendor software is made available to the public, I don't think we can fix it on our own(or except if you are a programmer relatively experienced with series 60 platforms).
last but not least, if you are thinking of using a higher capacity MMC you need not to install a patch or anything of the sort. recently, I've tried using ordinary MMC 128,256, and 512mb and it all works. what I'm not sure is could other types of memory card be used on the phone (SD cards, xD, compact flash etc). I am currently using Sound Forge6.0 to convert mp3s to compensates my MMC as I'm also using for data storage(taking it as my USB/handy drive at the very same time). The software is easy to use and you can download it for free. what I wish is that I could upgrade the phone firmware into a full spec series60. or maybe just something to enable me browsing stored data(jpeg file especially). have anyone got any info on this please do drop me a line at goodsclothingcompany@gmail.com.
sorry tho if the info i'm sharing with you guys are incorrect:)

Wrong. It's a plain S40 phone.

It comes with a (standard) DKU-2 cable which only purpose for this phone is uploading music to it. The 3300 is two devices in one frame: the phone itself and MP-3 device and memory card reader. Therefore, DKU-2 cable doesn't have any direct contacts with phone section.
PC Suite doesn't support this phone.

Again, no S60 and "programing" isn't that easy. There is no such vendor software. You might mistake it with the firmware-updating software and hardware the Nokia shops use. It's parallel to the Griffin Box or rather they use it.

Only MMCs can be used. Size doesn't matter (even the new 2GB should be useable), the manufacturer does. Some won't work at all.

Use a F-Bus cable and Oxygen Phone Manager II.
