I have MPT for my v300 and I am trying to access the ringtones and wallpapers that I downloaded from t-mobile. I have a defective phone and t-mobile sent me a new one. However, t-mobile will not re-send or refund my ringtones & etc. that I paid for. Is there any way to access these files and also delete the ringtones and wallpapers that came already on the phone?
Thanks!

I am trying to get the ringtones and wallpapers off my old defective phone to transfer to my new phone. In MPT I cannot access the file in the audio file that I assume holds the ringtones that I downloaded from t-mobile. I cannot access the wallpapers either that I got from T-mobile. When I go into MPT and I click on the audio folder and then click on the ... folder it takes me right back out to the parent folder.
I also would like to delete some ringtones in my new phone that came on the phone already.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

How do I unlock my phone? I am obviously new to this and I think over my head!
I would really like to learn the ins and outs of my phone, and reading forums and things...I just don't understand it!

You don't need to unlock the fone for these purpose. You need a data cable and software call PST6.7 and P2kman or MSS( mobil service sotwear) to beable to transfer stock tones, pics or delete them. WARNING: delete some stock tone or wallpaper may cause fone to not function properly so you need to back up and back up all your files.
Oh and keep on reading it will come to you, beeter to leran a bout it that way

As for the ringtones you downloaded just get the song and use a mp3 cutter to make your own ring tones. As for unlocking that is just if you have a phone from one service and using a SIM card from another service. And no I don't think that you can connect a phone to computer via infrared, the only wireless connection for the computer to read is BT I think correct me if im wrong though.

thanks sooo much for the help! I am getting into this...but what is a "seem"?
With this p2kman I can just delete things from my phone? I am scared to mess something up! I did copy all the files from my phone to my pc, so even if I mess something up I should be able to restore it, right? UGH!

In trying to transfer ringtones from my phone to pc with P2KMAN, i get the error:
File download.../a/mobile/audio/~g46W---.09^.midGENERIC FAILURE
Fail: cannot read file
None of the ringtones that I bought from t-mobile will transfer and I get this error. Is there something else I need to do? All of my other files transfer just fine.
Thanks.
