My Razr V3 is on its way to me and I hear only Mobile PhoneTools V3 deluxe is supported by this phone. I wonder if this software is worth $30. I looked on eBay with intentions of spending $10 but did not see a seller who gives a link for purchase instead of charging $10 on shipping alone. Is this piece of software really worth the $30 (does it sync with outlook?), what is the cheapest way to purchase?
Thank you.

You will still need to get the usb data cable if you plan on editing your phone or change the firmware. Mine as well get the cable and software together from ebay.
You can do much with a usb data cable than BT, in addition.

I doubt it will include MPT or if it does it is the light version. No live update capabilities.
The only way you would get rid of cingular branding is through flash/flex or hexing the seems. I do not have the info for that.

Are you sure that only MPT V3 deluxe will work with the phone? I have V2.21 and I was really hoping to get it to work with my V3

I used this link with the discount code tech42 to get 15% off:
http://www.bvrp.com/customers/motorola/v3/buy/
It comes out to around $25.
With version 2.21, can't you just run a live update and get the current version?

You can but I think its something with the title "Deluxe" that makes it unavailable unless purchased. So maybe it does work with V3.

Do NOT buy it. It is a complete piece of garbage (at least when using the v600.) Contacts/calendar/email, etc. are all accessible over the Internet, making BT an obsolete pipe dream.

Yeah, honestly I never use it and it so far has been a waste of money...It seems that the only time I REALLY need MPT is if I flash my phone over and need the phone book. So unless you really must have it for sms or live sync suggestion is don't buy it.
