Did you set it under the sounds menu or the ring detail? Does it boot you back to home screen? What did you use to transfer the file?

Do a master reset on the phone.

What flex and S/W do you have?

I had the same problem and the master reset at least allowed me to look at the old ringtones and change to those. Now my problem is as follows:

If I upload new mp3's, they are not found in my ringstyles. I can still see them on MPT or p2k and can play them in multimedia area but just can't use them as ringtones. I notice one other strange thing. I have the phone set to "wrap around" for scrolling, and every menu except ringtones does. When in ringstyle menu and scrolling through the potential mp3's, if it gets to the top or bottom it will kick me back to the previous menu.

It's a V600 but I dont know the firmware or flex. I don't have the menu to find them within "phone status"

Thanks in advance for any help.

It seems this phone has been upgraded before. You did a master reset and you are not able to select the ringers under the appropriate profile?

If you have p2kman, delete the mytone & temptone.db file and master reset. Maybe that would work. You can also reflash/flex the phone too using pst. That might help you to select the ringers under profile.

I have had the wrap over incident when I first had my phone. I don't remember if it was after or before I flex the phone. Like you, the phon would kick me back to a different screen. I fix that by flashing.

First off, I transferred the files 2 ways. I used both mpt and p2kman. When I get booted back, it brings me to the "Settings" screen. Finally, I'm not certain I know what you mean when you are asking where I set it under.

Thanks duceduc!!!

I deleted the mytone and temptone.bd files and did a master reset. It worked like a charm. By the way, the phone has never been flashed/flexed since I got it new from AT&T.

Again..thanks.
