My wife and I just signed up with Cingular and were curious if we can send SMS to our friends in Russia (services like MTS and Beeline).
Anyone else trying to do this?

AT&T also offers an international texting plan that discounts the cost of sending international texts. Normally, sending a text is $0.50 per message. This plan is like $9.99 a month for 100 messages per line, which makes the cost per international text $0.10. Nice discount, as that's cheaper than a pay per use on a domestic text.
EDIT: I stand corrected. international SMS, according to AT&T's web site are $0.25 per message. International MMS (multimedia messages) are $0.50.
