Ok well I got mPT fully updated, I guess I have the drivers for my phone (it detected my phone as a v180), I have a USB Cable (altough it is not striaght, came from my Digi cam).

Now I had gotten mPT to connect to my phone twice. Once as a generic Moto phone and I could access the phone book, but could not reach multimedia center. Then I changed it to from generic to my v180. It connected fine again and I was able to reach multimedia center, when I tried to send a wallpaper it didn't confirm anything and the wallpaper did not show up on my phone, so I tried an mp3, then it froze the program. The next time I tried to access it gave me a "Mobile not connected" error yet it is.

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling mpt every which way, and no luck. Is it just the cable or is there something else that I need.

hmm ok so I got another cable from best buy, it s a straight cable no funny bulges in it. And it gave me the same error, so I reinstalled everything (driver, mpT, mptupdate), and when I try to make it figure out what phone it is. It says "Not accessible or in use by another application" but I have nothing else that would be using it.

And when I choose myself it still says phone not connected.

I figured it out. I forgot I was supposed to turn my phone off. I remembered that I had to do that with my T720, but since no1 mentioned it for mPT didn't know I had to do it.

If it worked once before, turn your phone off. Then turn it back on.
