I do have one question for the last two people, and I am not even in the cell business anymore, but still . . . What did you do with the 30 day trial period? It is there for a reason folks, it is there for your protection. Actually it is more likely that it is there for the carriers protection, by law they only have to give you three days. When it comes to a phone having service there are a few things you need to know, which phones get the best signal, and where the antenna is at in the phone. If you get the best signal phones, and learn to keep your hands away from the antenna, and still have bad service, use that 30 days to your advantage and find something that will work for you. Don't just buy the phone and EXPECT that it will work everywhere, and be perfect for you.
As for the letting them vent, this site is about answers, expect responses, and if you're wrong, expect that to be said as well. I really do come here to help, but you have to admit, many of the issues people have had, have been, or was in their hands to correct, if you don't do it, don't cry and whine now about being wronged. I have said that some of the people here have had legitimate complaints, and I myself do not use Sprint, because as a consumer it is my right, and duty to find what works best for me. It is Sprints job to sell a phone, it is your own job to find out whether that is the right fit. Sprint, as all other companies do, realizes that they will not work right for everyone, that is why they put the 30 day trial period into effect. This country has suddenly gotten the idea that everything is owed to them, do you due diligence. I don't buy anything I have not researched, and I know the policies of the companies I buy from, if everyone would do the same, the complaints here would be much fewer.
GirK Here's some backup. you people should all be ashamed of yourselves. all of you. especially mr law who should probably should change careers because a signed contract is legally binding. carriers should they choose too, can install a different etf for breaking the contract early. breaking a written agreement can and will come with penalties. nobody forced your hands into signing at the dotted line. you even have a test period! how many industries allow you to test thier product for up to 30 days before you commit? not many. so grow up. you signed a contract, deal with it. as for coverage, sprint has the best coverage in the states hands down, with also the best data network. want to know why? they use ALL cdma towers. verizons, alltel, towerco, etc. so to argue verizon has better coverage than sprint is like saying pizza doesn't have dough. sprint uses verizon's towers. and those of you attacking girk better go to another site. he always tries to help when he can, and he's honest. you guys signed of your own free will. deal with it. seriously. quit trying to scams the companies. these attempts at scaming the wireless carrier makes you nothing but a petty thief.

Lighten up Francis! I can see that your passionate about your position, but lets try to look at everything. There are many people saying (me included) how crappy their Sprint service is and only 3 or 4 or you singing the praises. What do the odds say? And another thing, why are you getting personal? If you want to convince me I'm wrong, then give me evidence why and not just tell me I'm stupid for not reading the contract, calling me a petty thief, or that they all use the same towers. Which by the way yes they do, but not at the same frequency or intensity.
Actually they do use the same frequencies which makes them able to use each others towers. and not reading any contract, whether it be for wireless service or a home loan makes you not so bright.

Hi guys, this is my first post and I wanted to add my 2 cents.
Sometimes new phones come out and your friends get them and brag, but you can't do the same because your carrier doesn't have it (AT&T iphone, t-mobile G1, etc).
Or your cell service sucks in your area(lots of dropped calls).
Or you are tired of paying more than you should or customer service is poor or who knows what other reasons people might have.
But there is no need to lie to anyone in order to avoid cancellation fees. Why not just have someone else take over your account? It isn't hard. You don't even have to go anywhere. You can do it on the phone and you can hand over your contract/account to someone 1200 miles away, You don't have send your phone(no postal fees). Saves you $100-200 and it saves the other person around $35 setup fees.
Now here's my main point: I am a web developer in Las Vegas and I've had a domain that is cell phone related that I have wanted to develop for some time. But I was discouraged when I saw different sites out there (cellswapper, cell trader usa, etc) that already do what I wanted my site to do. But they ALL CHARGE A FEE TO DO IT. I want to design a site that offers this service for ** FREE **.
I am wondering if anyone would be willing to help test this site privately with me (private beta) as I code it out and refine it. I don't really have any plans to make money on this, I just want to offer this service for free much like craigslist does for classifieds. I want it to be simple and to the point.
If anyone is interested, please PM me or send me an email.

Hi all,
After reading the posts here I got more confused about the Sprint policy; I'm an international student from Asia, and due to the rulings changes I have to leave US earlier than I expected when I submitted the Sprint 2 yrs plan. My question is: if moving to a place without signal could be a reason to get out of the contract with no etf then why moving to another country (unwillingly) can't be treated in the same way? I tried to call Sprint service for too many times so that I can't remember the exact number but the answer is just no. So I just googled about this question and hope anyone here could kindly suggest if any action I could take toward this unbearable situation. Thank you.

I tried sprint for 15 days. I was great until I upgraded my BB 8330. I couldn't use the roam only function in the device any longer. Yes, Sprint does pull from all towers, but in my case, my phone was bouncing b/n towers, not letting me make calls or receive them. I was stuck in nowhere land. When I called sprint, they said all roaming only options in phones are terminated and all new software upgrades will terminate any existing roam only options. Well, obviously, since it took it away in the BB. Anyway, I did like the price and the data. How could I better the reception/signal if I went back? Verizon is too expensive anymore, and where I could roam with Sprint, in some cases, I can't get any signal with Verizon. Who is the best anyway? I am so tired of researching, why can't they all just work?
