What happens? The companies that do this for a living can fix it again right? I have 1 year warranty, no matter what. Is it the same as bios flashing youre PC? i know the warranty on my computer allows that!

You mean if you bring it to a store and they flash your phone and something goes wrong, will they warranty it? It is up to the store. The phone manufacturer won't warranty it, however.
If you are planning to let a non Motorola authorized repair shop do it, I would make sure they will repair your phone if something goes wrong.

You can do it yourself. Of course, it will void all warranty on phone.

Heheh jepp, thats what i am asking. If i flash the phone myself and someting goes wrong, is it possible either by warranty or for a small fee to get a reapir shop to fix it?
Or is it unreperable?

If you do it yourself and the phone is not acting normally. For instance, the phone keeps on restarting itself, small feature is acting wierd, you can try to reflash it again.
However, after the upgrade if the phone does not power on, you can try to take it to a shop. I would imagine they will do the same as what you had try to do. Only this time, they will use something like a monster pack flash to revive your phone. I do not know the cost of upgarding firmware or software from a store.
If your guts are up to the challenge, myself and others will help out. There is also a how to flash guide in the tutorial section. I suggest you read throughly and be familiar with the different flash files and flex out there.

Unless you've already gone and flashed it and killed the phone thats why you ask. If that then you will have to find the Monsterpacks Duceduc mentioned. And they aren't easy to find because you may find the wrong ones. So careful, and proceed only as far as you know you can do don't get ahead of yourself.

Well im not sure where to find the flex files, but you will need all that apply to flex your phone. If you need 3 and have 2 I wouldn't atempt it until I got the 3rd file. So maybe Duce can lead you in the direction of these flex files.
