as somebody who has had both of these phone I would reccomend going for the p800 (900) if your wallet can stretch yhat far. Yes it can do vidio and mp3 and its got a touch screen and I love sending texts on the p800.
The phone is bigger, but then so is the screen and that is the real wow factor of these sony ericsson phones, I love em

hey tnx man .....i bought a p800....but i need to seek some help frm you.......i would like to put some videos into but dont know wat format it supp.?????and how do i convert???

Hi Ranjith 's back after around three weeks of busy schedule studying for my year-end term test. So I also own one P800 and i've even used a 6600. I feel that the P800 is much better than the 6600. Thats my review on it.
Welcome to the P800 gang..! This'll be a symbion 7.0 UIQ 2.03 version phone with the latest firmware which is R2F currently available for upgrade. So You just like to have some vidoes on your phone. It's simple. Like other phones this supports 3gp. In addition to that it supports MP4. So these are default formats which are played with the Pocket Video Player which comes with your phone. But with an additional software installed onto your phone you could play smooth videos and stereo audio with the help of the support towards AVI format. Namely the software is named SMARTMOVIE player. It comes bundled with a pc video converter so that you could convert it on your pc and then move them onto the Phone.
Then about Vidoe Capturing on the phone. You could install a very nice software named Phillips Camcorder Pro. Make sure you download the exact one for P800 UIQ devices and make sure again you are selecting the Pro version. Because the pro version offers the best quality vidoe capturing. If you select the standard version even if you purchase it or even if you crack it, it wouldn't let you record at the pro video quality. So be aware.

hey i download Camcorder Pro frm Philips but while instalation it tells it needs supp for E Cam Compability..........frm where do i get it....if u have pls send it to ma Email.........anyway tnx a lot

Hi, Your Firmware is indeed a little bit rusted (old) the latest firmware for the phone is "R2F" . This has many bug fixes. You better upgrade it. This'll do some image fixes. bye,
