Ya I haven't heard of just unplugging doing anything to either PC or Phone, but it always is good to just close the program before unplugging.

Does MPT let you connect your laptop to the internet? Do you get better than GPRS speeds with EDGE? I've got the V551, and an XP SP2 laptop.

Yes it will work and I don't know but I do think its faster with edge but the phone things good for portable either which way. Thats getting to be pretty good portable internet I think should be revolutionizing pretty soon here.

Cingular's GPRS with my old SE T616 was slower than dial-up. EDGE is supposed to be 3 times faster. Hope that's at least dial-up speed. Cingular says my package, which they call Works Media, is unlimited. Was never able to make good use of that because of the slow speeds. Maybe now I'll give "unlimited" a run for the money.

it seems that mpt v 3.19 update does not exist, i have tried the latest version seems 3.11h----am i incorrect

That make two of us dude, but we may be wrong or did somthing wrong! I heard of 3.19 maybe it only work for people who bought the 3.11 to have that upgread, cause if you bought a 2.0 you can only update up to 3. verson

if the version 2 only upgrades to 3.11, do we need to repurchase the current version to go to 3.19 ??????????????

Yes I believe so but there may be a patch. Try searching google for it.

i updated from 3.11
i will say that i had a problem updating....this was a third attempt, the only thing i did that may have allowed this, was to put mobile phone tools in my firewall settings (XP Pro SP2)... don't know if this'll help anyone

That does seem to be a good reason why you can't download an update. But also if you've updated it before without meddling with the firewall then you may have a greater problem. If nothing good comes out and you purchased the version 2 then contact bvrp and see what they can do for you.
