Have you try to go in and do the F6 general setup--> modem exchange--> comunication-->choose from list . On you left choose motorola GSM on right look form V300 select it and finish it is now should work

Naw, haven't tried it yet I gotta wait until I get another V300 to work on, but ya I had to do that on the V551 my dad purchased today. So now its all fine and dandy. ^_^ Thanks.

I've tried some of the suggested "work arounds" and though I now have a RAZR skin on my desktop, they phone still won't "mount" to the PC. The RAZR skin shows "initializing."
I pressed F6, all that shows are COM ports, no USB choices.
Any ideas? Thanks
