Yes, I'm sure others have had this problem, and I'm sorry in advance for asking. But it is bothering me a lot. Ok, so here is what happens:
1 - I installed the program MPT v2.1.
2 - I connected the phone to my PC.
3 - When MPT started up, I got a "telephony interface cannot load" error.
4 - I upgraded MPT to version 3.11.
5 - When I load up MPT, I still get the same telephony error.
6 - Other problems include: "initalizing" screen doesn't go away, I have to disconnect and reconnect my phone each time I try to go to multimedia studio.
All in all, I'm pretty upset. But when I saw this forum by chance, I was hoping someone could help me with my problem. Oh yeah, how do you actually choose a PHONE MODEL in MPT? I can't figure that out for the life of me. Thank you everyone in advance. Oh yes, I connect via USB cable that is Motorola.

The one thing you didn't mention is almost the most important. Use this link Link and do what it asks if you didn't already.

Did you guide the USB modem to the right spot?

I used the 3.11 guide. But I start with version 2.1, so is there a guide for that? When I used the 3.11 guide, I had to do an update. And when I had my PC install the driver, I got no such Windows XP warning to install the driver. And after I finished the driver install, when I opened up MPT and chose a profile, I got the "telephony interface cannot be loaded" error again. BTW, I have SP2.

Just to add more info, the MPT I got was a CD that was included with my Motorola USB cable that I purchased off of eBay. Is there anywhere that I can download MPT, seeing as this error might be based off of my disc?

Does anyone know what actually causes the "telephony interface cannot be loaded" error? I get that everytime I try to access anything.

Sorry I don't. I never had problems when installing the software.
