what is the email suffix for sending email from a PC to a Cingular mobile phone? and why don't emails sent from the phone get to their intended email address?

Email from pc to phone:
1xxxxxxxxxx@mobile.mycingular.com
Email from phone to pc:
Create a message with sms text. On the body type in the email address you wish to send. Hit space onces and start typing in your message. Type in 36245 for the phone number. Click send.

neither one of those methods worked, I converted my AT&T account today and got two new LG 1300's. I can't make it talk to my PC or vis-a-vis. I used to easily be able to send an email from my AT&T phone by selecting the email address stored in the address book. Is this perhaps a problem with the phone or the service?, why the 36245? and there is a place to enter a real email address, is it a problem with Cingular's network? Why might '@mobile.cingular.net' not work either? and you have to a '1' on the front of the number? yourphonenumber@mobile.att.net worked so well.

I tried them both and it works for me. The 92466 is the service center that text message goes to, after which it is sent to the email address. Using this method allows you to use sms text and not wap. For customer who only have sms text message signup, this is a way to do it.
If you just migrated from ATT, that might be the issue. The services may have not all been converted. Try it every so often.

I tried the old email address from my PC to mycurrentphonenumber@mobile.att.net and it activated and sent the message to my old "disconnected" phone.

If you have friends with cingular service, try the settings I posted early. It maybe the migration from ATT has not settle in.

Cingular is different than AT&T. The address is @mobile.mycingular.net and yes you have to put the 1 in front of your number. if you don't address it correctly, it won't go through.
