thanks compdude for advice to make the ol raze come alive again. i was stunned to discover that i could not turn on my razr despite recharging it. i found advice you had given to another with the same issue on the website. taking the battery out and putting it back in again as you suggested worked immediately. the internet is so cool. thanks, compdude!

"Actually there is a problem with the V3 of motorola as it wont take charge when the mobile is off. Therefore, is the battry is dead you wont be able to charge it again, what i want to know is: Is there any way of charging the battry externaly. thank you for your reply
Regards:
Andy"
Ice/Andy, that's not true. They are supposed to charge whether on or off. Just yesterday, I brought an older V3 to my Mom and during the 3-hour drive to her house, I charged the battery in it both while it was turned off AND with no SIM card in it.
There are external battery chargers around, but I can't think of where I got mine a couple of years ago (I'd give it to you if I could find it). Try looking around E-Bay for one. I used to use the external, but now I keep several wall-chargers and mobile chargers handy. Using bluetooth and talking as much as I do really goes through a battery quickly (damn it)..

I just posted for help with my battery. I actually thought someone exchanged their battery with mine. But, now reading all these 'complaints' maybe it;s just the damn battery.
My battery won't keep a charge. This just started happening three days ago. I charged it all night and the next day their are only two bars left at the end of the day.
Will Cingular give me a new battery.I have insurance?

Try this:
Run phone till battery dies
Remove battery for a few minutes
Replace battery but do not turn on
Charge phone overnight with phone off
Also if you are in a poor signal area ensure network speed is set to slow

It seems that whatever the level the battery is at it will not take it past that point. I have had it sent in twice and have tried three batteries and three chargers but the results are the same.
Any ideas or similar problems? |

I have a V3m for Sprint. Does anybody know where I can make this change? I can't find it in the menu.
Both my wife and I have this phone and we are really getting frustrated with this charging issue on both phones. Thanks!
