Hi guys,
I just aquired a new V3 but I've got a huge problem:
It won't charge....
I tried going to the store and testing it with a brand new charger, no luck, so the problem is in the phone itself. The phone works perfect and has no other problems, but the battery won't charge.
I bought this phone thru ebay and so I can't return it to the store...
I have no problem opening up the phone and fixing it myself... but I can't get it open...
Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Pascal1616:
Have you tried testing it with a brand new battery as well?

Actually, I haven't....
But when I plug the charger, the phone shows no signs that the charger is plugged...
I live in Canada and they haven't released the phone here yet, so I can't get my hands on a new battery unless I order it... do you think it could be the battery?

Its worth a try. Does the V3 has the same battery as the V400, V600? If so, you can grab it from your friend to test.

FWIW I've already had to send 2 V3's back for that very reason. In both cases it was the power supply and not the phone itself.

I was haveing the same problem, try plugging in the charger without the right angle adapter and FIRMLY push the plug into the phone. It finally started charging when I did that. I thing there is pro'ly something wrong witht the connector on the charger becuase that shouldn't be necessary. I will try and get it swapped out, but in the mean time I can charge.

you need the drivers from the disk installed to charge via a standard mini usb - usb cable, something about voltage reguation,
I am away from my installer disk, and have a dead phone. PLEASE PLEASE can someone email/upload the files to install the software & i'll host them for future use of ppl in this position

Hi,
My phone has now completley died! I have left my charger about 200 miles away!
Is there any way I can get my phone to start charging from the USB, or will I need to go buy a new charger as it won't switch on now!
I have the mobilephone tools installed on 2 of My PCs, but as the phone is completley dead (and not on), it's not picked up when plugged in to the PC!
