That would allow me to transfer small mp3 and picture files to my phone from my PC?

I don't know any other software. If you have BT enable phone, you can get yourself a Bt dongle and transfer it with the software included.
The other way is using wap (phone internet). You can transfer ringers/wallpaper to a wap site and retreive the files from that site from your phone. I use www.zedge.no
Its free to register. Have a look see.

Does the Z-Uploader allow you to upload MP3 tones? It says you can only upload jpeg files.

Sweet. Thanks again for all of your help. Oh yes, now that I'm at it, one more thing? Do you create your own MP3 tones if you have any? If you do, what editor do you use?

I use mp3 cutter. There is a free trial. Audicity (check spelling) is another one and is free to use. I find mp3 cutter very user friendly and easy to use.
