what is the firmware version on ur k508i?? Any possibility to set our own tones for sms ....

well, they say that both are the same when it comes to its features and the only difference is the design. k500i's leds are orange while k508i has blue. i really like the design of k500i but its orange leds just suck. i hate the color. but i've read a review somewhere that the k508i is an improved vesion of k500i since there were rumors that k500i had software and battery problems.

Hi, Difference between these two mobiles what i have experienced that K508i is much more relaiable coz it can handle K700's themes and if u install same themes on K500 it causes software problem in it.
I do personally have K508i and it is really great.

Nonsense. K700 themes often look bad on these phones anyway because the K700 has a higher resolution and the phone needs to resize the pictures (producing lines) or crop the pictures to fit on the K500/K508.

There is a huge difference betweeen F500i and 508i...In 508 (which is Vodafone branded)you cannot make MP3 as ring tone,nor as alarm tone...You can only use midi for that purpose...Furthermore the menu and menu animation of 508i is v dull and boring and remind me some old days cartoons.... My friend has recently buy one in here in Pakistan,and tell u what he is kicking himself all the time....I suggest you to buy K300i,only difference is small display but much more reiliable than K500i...all the K500i have Sucked up Joy stick...sooner or letter you'll end up with complains of Joy stick of K500i,no matter how DELICATLY you use it...
