I recently purchased the new Motorola V551 for use on the Cingular network. I'm a noob and I need to know what to do to get started. I want to know how you can use (if possible) the Bluetooth to transfer pictures, music, MP3 and other multimedia from either PC or labtop to the phone. Help is much appreciated.

Yes it is possible but if you want to do more then just the things you have list then you want to get motorola data cable that come with cd of Mobile Phone Tool. How reliable or ease-of-use is the Motorola Wireless USB PC adapter w/ BT? Is the standard USB cable better or are the two equal?

If you to what you suspose to do their both equaly easy, but like I said later on if decided to make the speaker louder or ring tone louder, get rid of the carrier logo and add your own, and if your fone is thru Tmobile is only triband instead of quardband you can mod to change all that and that is when BT can'not do, and if even it can do i would not use it cuz i can afford a link break when i flah or flex the fone cuz that will send the fone straight to he....ll icon_surprised.gif icon_smile.gif . Hope this help icon_smile.gif

Wait... So if I jus get the regular (non-BT) USB cable I'll still be able to do things like increase the volume or remove the 'Cingular' banner from my phone without the phone messing up in anyway.

Only cable and software will allow you to do all those thing. BT is just to transfer pics, ringtone, wallpapers, and sycn to you pc that's all. But it's gonna take some time to read and ask befor you jumpin and do all tose thing remember i said you can kill your fone?. If you do it right then should not mess up anything

V551_RS:

You can only edit your phone mentioned above with a usb data cable. BT adapter will only transfer files, sync, modem.
