I recently discovered the option of categories on my v600 for the pictures and the audio files. It seemed like a pretty cool idea and in trying to keep everything somewhat organized i categorized most of the pictures i had taken and the few songs files i had on the phone. However later i was trying to view the pictures and i realized that i cant see the ones i moved in the All or there individual category. This happened with the songs also. I know they arent deleted because I can still set the songs as ring tones but i cant access them through the sounds area and the pictures still are picture IDs. Does anyone know why this happens and how i could get these pictures and songs back?

Under categories menu, you have verify that the pictures are not in the all folder nor is it in their create folders? Have you checked the unfiled folder as well? Is it there?
If all else fail, do a master reset on the phone.

Master reset will not delete any ringers/wallpaper. However, performing a backup of your ringers/wallpapaers is not a bad idea. You can use p2kman or mpt to do it.

Sorry forgot to add in previous post. Goto menu, settings, initial settings, master reset. security code is 000000 (default)

I've had my V600 for awhile now and I've notice the same problem that one person had on this board. It seems that if you "create" your own "new" category, after awhile, you will lose all of your ringtones/images that you stored in the new category(s). There is an exception though, for you could still use your ringtones, except it's no longer viewable in the multimedia/sounds section, it is only viewable when you are going to change your ringtones under the phonebook/"persons name"/edit/ringer ID. As for the images, the images that you download or taken a picture of will be gone if it's stored in the new category, with the exception to the ones that are already chosen for someones Caller ID or background for your phone. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be highly appreciated, I'm sticking with the V600 bec. every phone has some imperfections and everything else has been great.. Thanks in Advance

oh and i tried doing the reset and that didnt work and its still messed up so im not sure. My main question is that i can tell the pictures are still on there because they still are call people and the tones still are ringtones but does anyone know if i will be able to take those off the phone with a cord?
