Does anyone know the technical details of how the T-Mobile's mobile Internet service actually interfaces to the Internet? It appears that they use a GGSN (General GPRS Serving Node), but it is not clear if that device connects directly to the Internet or to an ISP who then provides Internet service. If you know the answer, or have a contact inside of T-Mobile that would be able to help, I would appreciate your assistance.

I am trying to use a mobile handset (not nevcessarilya PDA) to acess the mobiel internet. I am looking at solutions that will overcome the general lack of interest/use of the mobile internet.
