Today I upgraded to a nokia 6010 (not much of an upgrade) and I tried to dl some new ringtones off of cingular.com. The tones arrived, but when I tried to retrieve them, I got an error saying GPRS connection not available. How do I enable gprs so that I can retrieve my tones and do other things on the net with my phone? any help is appreciated.

i think u have to call cingular to activate wireless internet on your phone. you dont have to get a wireless plan, you can set it up so u pay by the kb

If you do have wap service, try these settings for gprs:
GPRS APN: wap.cingular
User Name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Passwrd: CINGULAR1

Hello there. i have a similar problem. this phone was a T-Mobile 6010 and it has settings locked in. i am having a hard time to figure how to delete/enable cingular settings. for example, i went to nokia web site and tried the network config they offer. well i receive the settings and when i try to install it says SETTINGS ARE FULL. then, SETTINGS LOCKED. so i am 300% positive there is a code to access a sub menu or something. please help.

I had the same problem - I had to call Cingular and have them activate wireless web.

I'm having the same problem. I called Cingular but they weren't much help. What should I tell them? Did they provide any codes or instructions? Your help is appreciated.
