Software installs fine on XP (at home) but on Windows 2000 at work i get an error during the instal. The install gets to the point of C:\Program Files\mobile Phone Tools\widcomm\widcomm.cab and then it sets there a minute then an error box pops up and says "General file transfer error. please check your target location and try again". I have tried Motorola support and they said it was a problem with my computer. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

I have done that. I do not think it is a bad file on the CD because it installs fine on Windows XP. What i am thinking is it may be a problem with my anti-virus or fire wall.

try to reinstall the driver and don't let the window do it automaticly it either can not find it or it will use the genetic one and will not fully function. Use the option of manully install (advance) specific location and piont it to your MPT folder. Sample C:\program\MPT\inf.
Try to use V600 drive that will work beeter for you. Good Luck
