i dug thew it and found this
SECTION 3: PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS FOR THE SOFTWARE
INSTALLING GAMES USING PST AND MIDWAY
Stage 1(PST):
1) Plug in usb. The lcd on your phone should light up. - wait for it to go off.
2) Run PST, then wait for it to settle down
3) Click on 'New', then 'kjava file'
4) Click on the 'Read data from phone' button. A "Programmers Progress" dialogue box should now appear showing PST "Suspending the phone" and "Reading list of java games on your phone".
5) Click OFF the "Programmer Progress" dialogue box
- IF THE 'Untitiled Kjava File " dialogue box says "Java App Loader is Now Disabled', THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO ENABLE IT - Click on the "Enable/Disable Java App Loader Menu" in the dialogue box. The "Programmer Progress" dialogue box should now reappear, again, with "Suspending Phone" etc. The 'Untitled Kjava File" dialogue box should now say "Java App Loader is Now Enabled"
6) Unplug usb
Switch phone ON.
9) Go to java app loader which says "insert cable now"
10) THEN plug in usb. on your mobile, it should say: "JAL link is now active". wait for that message to disappear and for it to return to the main java menu
Stage 2(Midway):
11) Run midway
12) A dialogue on Midway should say: "Cannot open serial port. Do you want to change port settings?"
13) Click "yes"
14) Another dialogue box will appear with "Communication Settings".
Your setting should be:
COM port: COM3 (or whatever com port you're using. note: the pc 'sees' the usb as a com port, so don''t worry)
Baud rate: 11520
AT command: AT
15) In Midway, select the jad file of the game (the jad file AND the jar file MUST be in the same directory)
16) Click 'Send'
17) The right hand sofkey on your phone will now have 'DOWNLD". Click on this, and wait for the game to download and install.

Hi,
For all those who wants to install java games on their motorola v3 phones, the link below will do magic. It has done for me
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=473506
All the info is given in quite detail. Still I would like to tell you that before going further with this link, you need to download Motorola MIDway Tool from internet. You can easily find it on:
http://www.motocoder.com/motorola/template.jsp?filename=center_develop mentTools.html
Hope this will work for you guys as well.

You can use PST to enable app loader or just SEEM edit.
SEEM 0032_0001 offset 43 - bit 0: Settings > Java Settings > Java App Loader (1 on, 0 off)

for some strange reason it says that my phone isnt connected to my computer, and neither P2Kman nor PST can see it. the more puzzling thing is that i have phone tools open, although it has recently started acting up too, disconnecting itself from the phone while i am transferring files onto my computer.
the "found new hardware" wizard opens up and asks me to install the drivers or whatever it is going on about for my motorola V360 too.
btw, i have been plugging my phone into the same USB slot ever since i have gotten MPT, so yeah, confusion FTW?
