What kind of problems should I be having? As of right now I would have to say this phone rocks. Well other then the voice volume being a tad bit low. Can I Change this?

I sell Cingular and I also have the v551. I think it's a great phone, I had the v400 before and I like the v551 better. To me it seems like the pictures are more clear and plus you have the video recorder. However it does have its issues, but only the ESN's ending in AA. Now depending on where you got your phone and how long you've had your phone you should be able to exchange it. The phone also has a 1 year warranty and if you are with Cingular then you can do the "Exchange by Mail." It's free to do. The phone has to be over 30 days old and less than a year. If the phone is under 30 days, it should be the store responsibility to exchange it for you. For the Exchange by mail, all you have to do is call this 1-800 number and they send you a new phone and you send them your old one back with 14 days of receiving your new phone. There are instructions in the box on what to you have to do. The number is 1-800-801-1101. They should take care of the problem. If they don't, I would just contact Cingular or your service provider. I hope I helped a little, if not, I'm sorry.

May I ask you the question that most of us want to know, would cingular give out unlock code for this V551 ?

I have the v551 and just love it.....Must have all the bug fixes because i have had no problems with it and like the other guy said the photos are realy good and the recorder works great also

I mentioned the bug in the first sentence of my quote. The screen would go white and the phone would be unresponsive. I only had it twice in one week. But many have had several in ONE Day. I got another v551, it's a BA. No problems so far.

If you want to know the diff. Look on your box. It's on the white label, in the box under the Contents listing. If you have the lisitng TRCV: SJUG0290AA, you're screwed (30,000 of 60,000 models are buggy). The new and fixed ones are marked TRCV: SJUG0290BA. Check on google or search this site for more of an explanation.

We purchased a cingular 2 yr plan and 2 v551s from letstalk.com. After receiving the phones we noticed they echo really bad and have static. Sounds like you're in the bathroom talking.

We sent them back for 2 more and the new ones do it too. It appears to be the phones does anyone know how to fix it? (these are the BA models and don't have the software issue).

Please respond soon -- we have to cancel soon or we'll be stuck with this service.

Well it seems they have put out another upgrade.

My V551 Has CA.

I too would like to know if there is any way to find out what upgrades or changes have been made from one model to the next.

I have had no real problems with mine other than a little phone book number transfer issue.

Sometimes when I try to copy a phonebook entry from my V551 to my wifes V551 (or from hers to mine), using bluetooth, it does not work properly.

Is transfers a different entry, and not only that but the entry it tries to send has 2 or 3 pages of numbers, not just the one that is entered on the sending phone.

This happens with different entries, not just one or even the same one from phone to phone. (we have a lot of them exactly the same)

Fone need to be turn off atleast 15 min aday to eliminating this problem
