Hi,
I am Gagan from India. I have Nokia 3120 (Better looking 3100) http://nokia.co.in/nokia/0,,55996,00.html
I will be coming for my graduate studies in the US. I might get an admission in Cincinnati OH or Lexington KY. I am planning to get this handset and use it where I stay. Please help me on selecting the service provider. I am unable to decide which one is better in these areas, TMobile or Cingular. Which one has better coverage, less noise etc.
Also which one will give me a better plan for making international calls, India in my case?
Thanks
Gagan

You should go with T-mobile. They are the better choice. They will have better international raoming. They have about the same coverage but you get clearer calls with T-mobile and their prices are better.

Not knowing Cingular I can only give you information about T-Mobile, their coverage maps online are OK, but if you can get to a retail T-Mobile store it’s better because it lets you know if you will have great coverage (what you want), good coverage meaning only outside not necessarily inside, fair coverage or not coverage at all and don’t stop at where you live, where you work, where your girlfriend lives, your relatives, etc.
The coverage maps are limited on the website but at the store and if you call Customer Care at 1-800-937-8997 they can inform you if there is a new site that will be in operation in the area that you give, if there is a site down due to technical difficulties, again there is coverage maps available on the website but is limited.
And you ask well why don’t we the customer have access to the coverage maps like at the store well, because of the constant updating they time out a lot but the maps on the website are better than most other carriers.
But overall do your homework, when you sign on the dotted line you’re committed

Spend the time going to T-Mobile.com or calling 18779378997 (Customer Care) and find a T-Mobile owned retail location. The reps there will explain everything - including the return policy. ASK QUESTIONS!!! Make sure you find someone nice and willing to explain T-Mobile's policies.
