I just got my V600 and I'm disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I love the phone, my reception and sound quality are great and I can't believe how good the battery life is.

The problem is that I am realizing that my phone has lots of features missing. Some examples that I see are the lack of the Monopoly game, no ICQ, no Sync option in connectivity menu, etc... Is this due to the fact that it is a T-Mobile phone and can I fix this by flashing? I know NOTHING about it and don't want to lose any features. What are the advantages vs. disadvantages of flashing, and do I have any other options? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

.

Games you have to load it in flahing won't give you that. To sync you havt o use data cable to connected to your pc or using Bluetooht and i don't htink flashing will give you that, i could be wrong.
Pros... your fone will be unlock after flash, better reception, will get AIM and maybe IM not sure
Cons.. loose couple hours in talk time for battery.. few convinent feature will be loss and you have to do seem and hex editing to get it back. DANGEROUS OF IT ALL is that you can kill you fone if you don't know or doing the wrong step. The only complain i have with Tmobile is all quarband fones from them is cripled down to triband. Hope this info help.

Thanks for your answer. Do you know where I could get the monopoly game from? Also, why does it improve reception when you flash the phone, and why does it decrease battery life?

Finally, do you know what features would be lost if I chose to get the phone flashed? Thanks for your help.

I don't know why is lost talk time, and better reception but it like that with the Txxx too. What you gain and loose are depend on the flash you get, but here is some lead and info for you to read up DUCEDUC will be a better person to answer this for you, he flash his fone so much is not a V600 any more icon_lol.gif .

Yes you can flash it, read:

1. You need PST 6 and a patch for it.
2. Mobile software: TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.58R
3. Mobile Flex: GI9V600000AAEO9
4. USB data cable
5. P2KMan
6. MSS 3.6 (if problems happen)

This will happen when you Flash it:
1. Your Pictrues, sounds, messages and contacts will be deleted.
(Record your contacts to the SIM card)
2. Connect the phone to your PC, windows (xp or 2000) will detect a new hardware and prompt you for drivers, install the drivers that are in the folder of P2Kman.
3. Save your pics and sounds with the P2Kman to your pc.
4. Install PST and patch it and open C:\Program Files\Motorola\PST\MULTIFLASHFLEX.EXE
5. In the FLASH line insert the TRIPLETS_G.... file
6. Click on START
7. Wait a few minutes
8. When it says FINISH, turn your phone ON
9. Open MULTIFlashFlex.exe and in the Flex line insert the GI9V600... file
10. Click on START and wait a few minutes
11. Take your phone of the cable and turn it ON.
12. Enjoy the ORG Motorola V600 without T-Mobile shit.

Possible problems:
1. Phone death after FLASH!!!

-Connet it to your PC
-Open MSS 3.6
-Push * # and the Power button at the same time
-PC will say: PHONE IS STUCK IN FLASH MODE
-Don't close MSS, just open MultiFlashFlex.exe and try with a another FLASH file (TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.4FR_reflash.rar, TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.38R_reflash.zip or a another one and try again to flash.
