I have a nextel i50sx and just purchased a slightly used nextel i1000 plus amd I was wondering since the i50sx has a removable sim card and the i1000plus does not have a removable sim card how can I get the info from the i50sx to the i1000plus????
any suggestions at all would be great
thanks,
Justin

Buy software like FutureDial SnapSync™ and purchase usb data cables for phone (or one cable if the cable capitable with both) then upload from one phone to pc, download to new phone. Plug-and-Pray!

hi,
first of all, i dun think nextel will let u activate the i1000+ .
but even if they do, i really dun think it's wise to buy the software n
2 set of data cable for i1000+ n i50sx, since the cost will most likely be greater than getting a used 2-digit phone like ur i50sx.
ok, back to ur question...go here:
http://idenphones.motorola.com/iden/support/software/companion_pro.jsp
download the companion pro, attach ur data cable to i50sx
use copy wizard n read ur info of the phone.
now attach ur another data cable to i1000+ n write ur info to
the phone.
good luck

I wouldn't even bother with the 1000 or any other non simm based phone. Nextel will be going through some major changes within the next year. They might even change thier name (SPRINT) since they have merged to become the 4 largest service provider in the US.
But hey your local service center should be able to help you. I know that thy can pull your adress book off of the 1000 over the air but I dont think it is backwards compatible.
Enjoy

I have a new sim card from my work and I've tried to put it in my Nokia 6610 and it does not work. Keeps saying insert sim card. Is there a code you need to input to the phone to release the information from the card. I've been able to swap the cards between my Blackberry 7510 and my Nokia 6610 before, so I'm lost as to what to do. Can someone help?

Sounds like your Nokia 6610 is locked, go here
http://javagames.2u.co.uk/mobile-phone-handset-unlocking/
or google to find the code to type in. Not all phones have one but its worth a try.
AT&T locks my "UNLOCKED" Treo 650 about once every 2 weeks, but I have a kid at Cingular that unlocks it for me, for now only beceuse PalmOne changed the 650 just enough from the 600 that the 600 Unlock software will not work. If you ever find a used GSM Sprint phone they unlock very easy.
Have Fun

an activation can be done on an i1000 but you have to sign an agreement that states that it dosnt have gps... go to a nextel dealer... i know the one i work at does that for free... (central ohio)
