Hi

Got the unlocking cable that connects to serial port on PC, as advertised on another site. Apparently, I download some server software(?) and then download the new firmware direct to the phone..... Is this the best way? Whats a terminator dongle? Do I need one as well as the cable? If there is an error whilst flashing, can I just re-flash?

Thanks for your help

Hi,
Terminator Dongle is an instrument they use for flashing Sonyericsson phones. That was the cheapest. You could do it by your own. So then once your reffering to the Server upgrading system, you could first make a backup of your phone. Unless you could just make your phone your paperweight. So be wise enough to make a back up in any circumstances. The server based flashing would prompt you to purchase credits. But once you've got your Terminator Dongle you just need the file to flash so its almost a one time cost.

Bye,

Yup, terminator is a cheap option for flashing...however, it doesn't support P910i unlock or flash...there are no P910i flash available for Terminator ... even if u try to unlock P910i with the terminator dongle ..it will just give a 4 locks closed!!

forget it and get a local shop to see if they can help .. or if u live near to london, we do offer the debrand service while u wait ...but it takes 30mins while u wait...
