Can someone please tell me how to or where to find a tutorial on how to unlock the web sessions Icon in the Web Access folder of my A630. I will even take a link to a file that is altered already so i can upload it. I need to unlock this icon so i can set the proper settings for web access.

Thanks,
Chris

As long as you have a truly unlocked phone you only need to put your SIM card in that phone and it would work. Sometimes though you need to change the internet settings to make that work for you while the voice side of the work without any activation involved. I work for Cingular if anyone needs help with ATT or Cingular settings reply to this post I can help.

Here post from my blog on how to get the Websessions and Browser working with your T-mobile phone while using Cingular:
http://amirmichael.com/blog/2006/02/hacking-motorola-a630-cingular.htm l

Here is how to get the web browser to work on a T-mobile branded a630 using the Cingular (ATT) network.

Hardware you will need:
T-mobile branded a630
Motorola USB data cable

1. Download Motorola PST (Product Support Tools)

2. Download the Motorola PST Patch

3. Download P2KCommander Version from motomodders.net download section

4. Download the Unlocked Cingular Websession from motomodders.net

(to comply with the forum rules I have removed the links, if you would like the links they are available on my blog, which is linked above)

5. Unzip P2KCommander into a folder (I’ll use C: \P2kCommander-V329 for this tutorial)
If you have the latest Windows Service Pack you may get errors about overwriting newer files. Just click “ok” and the newer files won’t be overwritten.

6. Install Motorola PST (just double click the installer and then ok a bunch of times)

7. Unzip the PST patch and copy its contents into the directory you installed Motorola PST (usually C:\Program Files\Motorola\PST) Overwrite the old files with the new.

8. Reboot your computer.

9. Plug in your phone using the USB cable.

10. When your computer asks for the driver, do not tell it to automatically find the file. Instead choose “Install from a list or specific location” point it to the folder you installed P2kCommander\p2kdrivers_2.9 (or C: \P2kCommander-V329\ p2kdrivers_2.9 in this example)

11. Start P2K Commander and you will be prompted to install drivers for the following devices:

Communications Class - Control Interface
Communications Class - Data Interface
Accessories Interface
Data Logging MCU Interface
Data Logging DSP Interface
Test Command Interface

When you are prompted for the driver point it to the same directory you used above for the phone drivers (C: \P2kCommander-V329\ p2kdrivers_2.9 in this example)

12. Once you have completed the installation use P2k Commander to navigate your phones file system. Now you need to replace your WebSessions file with the one you downloaded:
Select P2K Mobile phone from the menu on the top left.
Select the “a” partition (by double clicking on the folder)
Using the right window pane select the folder on your local hard disk that you downloaded the WebSessions file to in step 4.
Select the file and copy click the “copy” button.
Click the “Restart” button to resart your phone.

13. You are most likely on the orange network if you subscribed to Cingular after they merged with ATT or if you were a Cingular subscriber before the merger. Just fire up your browser (hit the t-zones button) and you will be good to go!

OR

If you were an ATT subscriber and were switched to Cingular through the merger then you are most likely on the blue network and you will need to modify your WebSessions settings. Just fire up the browser and your phone will tell you that the browser settings are incomplete. Just copy the following settings into your phone and you will be good to go!
