Success!!! I am able to access mmode with the A630 after the modding. the address is http://xlr8.uc/hofo/ At this point i can only get email by going thru the mmode conduit but we are working on a direct connection to either an imap/pop3 server.

I need the same Internet Set-up instructions for the P910a. I've tried to enter these where I can but I still get "activation rejected" errors.
Thanks

sorry, I'm a cingular employee, I know how frustrating it can be....
The manufacturer (this case Motorola) makes the phones to use with specific carriers. Each carrier has certain setting motorola embeds into the phone. As long as you have all the proper settings correct (which any rep would be glad to send directly to your phone) you should be able to access most of our features. Unfortunately, since it is not a cingular device we cannot support it any further than that (we don't have access to all that the manufacturer has set up on the phone for the other carrier). I would recomend that you look at Motorola's website, if we are not able to help you.

Hi
Just slightly off topic - I have a Motrola V 180 - service w/ Cingular - I have internet & can browse from the cell phone - also have PhoneTools from Motorola and use USB cable to laptop - so what settings do I need to use the V180 as a modem for laptop to surf GPRS on Cingular - I keep getting PPP error when i try to connect - but as I say, no problem connecting and surfing on the phone itself - thanks
