A630 98% working on Cingular network.
The only downfall was the AIM client is hardcoded to T-mobile. So here's what I did.
I bought a data cable for 9.99 off Ebay to go with my a630 off Ebay.
The guy I bought it from was awesome. He already opened it to quad mode but I also found how to do that later...
Anyway I then attempted to follw the directions from http://xlr8.us/hofo/ but to no avail. I deleted the WebSessions file and downloaded the exact file from my V600. Uploaded it and worked like a champ...
Feel free to email me if you want the sessiosn file.
This only worked or me PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE backup your WebSessions file before uploading mine!!!

Was your V600 upgraded when you uploaded the web session to your A630?

I'm interested in getting the A630 for Cingular. I'm concerned that all the internet / aim / pop email access, etc will not work under Cingular...
Will it?
Marc.
... hey, looks like you already answered it...

My V600 was a Cingular Branded Phone. When I uploaded my Websessions file to the A630 from the V600 the A630 worked 100% for web access and POP email. It however does NOT work with AIM. AIM is hardcoded into the phone to use T-Mobile so I'm out of luck on that one.
Yea AIM will not work on ANY T-Mobile branded phone. It's jsut hard coaded. You can't even download the application and install it on your phone. When it comes to AIM you screwed.
My Wife has told me that she read and article yesterday that says the phone is now going to be released for Cingular in the coming month 1/2. I did not read it myself so this is second hand rumor but she did mention that it was coming very soon.
As for myself I'll purchase it there so she can use AIM and I'll take the T-Mobile one. Honestly as far as phones go she's really given it high marks.
