1) elmo, are you x-Blue? Cingular blocks most of the network settings in their menus. (my step-father has an old, Orange west coast SIM where those menu items you mentioned are available, but my other family members' phones have been blocked for those options)...
2) On Moto's site, the phone is listed as a tri-band in two configurations (850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900). If it is a quad band, why is moto advertising it as a triband?
3) Another thought on the original question... In the seem files for the V600, there are settings to block the phone from accessing certain frequencies. If elmo is correct, and the phone has a quad-band radio in it, you should be able to check Howard Forums for a discussion on modifying them. (Of course you'll likely need a USB cable that comes with MPT to make the modifications).
heres the answer to the bands question...
Modes GSM 800 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900
GSM 900 instead of GSM 800 (850) in some versions
so obviously there is a european version and a NA version
there are only 2 NA feq's... 850 and 1900mhz... the 850 service is being converted to 1900 on a tower by tower basis...the data rate at 1900 is better... so your 850 coverage may drop off...Cing/ATT is not blocking a signal... but deleting frequency coverage at 850 and replacing it with 1900

I have an unlocked V600 AT&T branded with a 72 flash. I use T-Mobile service. My GPRS says it is "not available" when I click browser. What do I do? Thanks!

Elmo01 - first thanks for the quick response - the link that you have provided is for the cingular Blue help page. Is there a specific part of the page that I should be looking at. - Thanks adesilva

elmo01 - thanks for info. However I need to ask a stupid question. How do I edit this information to the phone. Is there a edit menu on the phone, or is this done through a outside software package. Sorry pretty new at this.
