Hi Elmo-

Was reading through old post regarding the A630. Are you saying by changing the registry using your method, I will be able to use the internet but not the instant messaging? Will the display say Cingular as opposed to T-Mobile? Thanks Elmo!!

Hi Tallchic5-

Can you tell me where you purchased your A630, how much you paid, and what happened when you popped your sim card in? Does your phone say Cingular Wireless now? Are you able to use all of the features except for the web browsing? Do you like your phone? Thank you!!

A630 98% working on Cingular network.
The only downfall was the AIM client is hardcoded to T-mobile. So here's what I did.

I bought a data cable for 9.99 off Ebay to go with my a630 off Ebay.
The guy I bought it from was awesome. He already opened it to quad mode but I also found how to do that later...
Anyway I then attempted to follw the directions from http://xlr8.us/hofo/ but to no avail. I deleted the WebSessions file and downloaded the exact file from my V600. Uploaded it and worked like a champ...
Feel free to email me if you want the sessiosn file.
This only worked or me PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE backup your WebSessions file before uploading mine!!!

phanoko.. i don't know if you still check this but can you please email me with the WebSessions file from your V600? thanks

As long as you have a truly unlocked phone you only need to put your SIM card in that phone and it would work. Sometimes though you need to change the internet settings to make that work for you while the voice side of the work without any activation involved. I work for Cingular if anyone needs help with ATT or Cingular settings reply to this post I can help.

Unwired,

My wife purchased an unlocked A630 from eBay. As you said above her AT&T sim worked without doing anything. However, the AIM, Web and Email don't work. I have seen all over the place if you change the settings it they will work no problem. Could you please help me figure out how to change these settings. Someone said the phone has to be "Re-Flashed"" in order for it to work on AT&T/Cingular. Please Help.
THANKS!!!!!
