I'm in the process of modding my x427 firmware with Januka but I'm having a problem with a few of the graphics. I export them and edit them but when I try to replace them they are too large! I even tried re-importing the same picture I had just exported on a couple and they were too large (even though it was same image). My question is can I change the amount of space pics take up in my phone (either with Januka or Samsung DIY 3.2)? Please help!

If you select less colors (in a program like ps) the size will get smaller.

Also, if you have Photoshop, for example. Try converting the actually bit quality. Another cheap trick is to save it as a gif file, open the gif, and resave it as a bitmap as gif's use a different compression that will reduce quality a little, but decrease the size noticably.

Is there a way to change the amount of space that is set up for default images and sounds? Also, if I take a 10k default sound and change it to a 5k imported sound, will I be able to reload a 10k sound back to that slot?
Thanks.

Resizing the amount of space is hard. There are two main ways to do it. Either by re-direting the address in memory, as in loading a sound as a ringtone and getting the folder tone to play it. The other way is by using blank space in memory and redirecting to this, but this is very risky because you have to really know exactly what you are putting where or it will damage your phone. The only other way is to download someone else's pre-made mod. These are hard to find, though. As for your 10k sound, you can always put something on that is less, but using one that is bigger may cause problems

It allows you to edit where the memory address of a particular ringtone points to in memory. For example, if you type in the address of the folder tone 1 as ringtone 1, then whenever ringtone 1 plays, it will play the sound saves as folder tone 1

Yeah, I'm lost on the ringtone offset. I'll look into it.
