Hi,
I'm about to renew my contract and my provider giving the Nokia 6600 or the 6230 without extra charge.
I've been reading about the models, but I'd like to know the opinion of you guys...
What about the 6600 lag for applications?
How's the 6230 screen and Operative System?
How's the 6600 mp3 experience using a third-party software? they sound with quality?
Just express your opinions, I'm a techy guy... but I'm not sure which one should I choose.
Regards,
Marco Delgado

The lag of apps for the 6600 was only a few weeks after release date of the 6600. Now 99% of the apps should work without problems (I didn't had any real trouble, all worked smooth... when they were the newest one ).
6230 operative system is Nokia OS, which is known from any other Nokia phone with color screen. Screen is good, but to small (my opinion... I'm using smart phones only for a while now ).
mp3s on the 6600 are the worst... singing on your own sounds better
It's only mono playback, the bass is missing.
You should think about the Siemens SX1... mp3s, radio (like 6230) and Symbian OS (like 6600)... keypad is strange the first 2-3 days, but it's a nice phone. I had it for two weeks, sold it and want it back

The P800 is the best mp3 phones of all.
It's loud! It's stereo!
And the best is: You can install additional mp3-player programs which are also in stereo (I use UnrealPlayer, it's like Winamp).
6600 has only mono and the sound very weak. Tested it for a day and than decided to get a phone with a real mp3-player

That's good information, I thought the 6600 was stereo... and I was thinking about the phone as a substitute for a mp3player... phu!
Thanks for the info guys, seems that I'll choose the 6600 for its display and I'll get an iPod
You just can't get everything in 1 device right?

Hmmm... yes, you can
http://www.neonode.com/
This is kick-ass...
Unfortunatly some features are missing, but as entertainment-phone it seems to be awesome...
And before I forget it: the 6600 only plays mp3s when an extra app is installed...
