Most of you know that using a cell phone directly on your ear can, in the long run, cause you to have a higher risk of cancer. I've looked into steps to help prevent this, and they say wearing a headset or using the speakerphone are two of the best ways to prevent this. My speakerphone on my Motorola phone is pretty lousy, so I started using a Bluetooth headset. That thing is amazing and if I can talk on the phone for hours and not have to think about it causing cancer, I'm all up for it. I would recommend everyone checking the Bluetooth headsets out because I still want to be talking when I'm 80 years old.

Radio waves have been accused of causing cancer as well. Cigarettes cause cancer, drinking causes cancer, certain medications may even do worse to you. I say, don't worry about it. Bluetooth headset is still a good idea, very nice when driving!

kind of ironic that you're proposing using a bluetooth headset instead of putting the phone by your ear cause that "may" cause cancer? most bt headsets go in ear which means technically they are closer to your brain and guess what, they emit radio frequencies as well.

You should get one of the radiotion shields. They say that they absorb 99% of the waves.

Are you serious? I thought everybody knew they didn't work. If you didn't notice, the radio waves are coming out of the antenna, not the speaker, which is what it covers. These radiation shields are like the "antenna booster" stickers that everybody thought worked.

I personally think that this thing about Cancer is a load of crap. I have never met anyone that got it because of a phone, and I have never read about anyone getting it, that was confirmed.

And these shields, all they are is a sticker.

I honestly do not believe any of this. I have been an obsessive phone user for my job for about 4 years, and I don't have cancer.....

I just got my BT headset and I LOVE IT! icon_heart.gif I was always the type to think, that's silly. But now that I have one -- WOW!!! I can't say enough good things about it. It works anywhere in my house no matter where my phone is, icon_exclaim.gif which is usually my purse, if it's charged. Driving with it is awesome! They're the BEST, IMO. icon_biggrin.gif

Cancer has been shown to be 500% likely to show up in lab rats who have cellphone radiation next to them for only an hour per day.And I know that they're lab rats and we don't have that much of a risk, it is still smart to use a bluetooth headset which uses radio waves like a cordless phone instead of microwaves(cellphones).By the way,all the sticker cell phone helpers are a load of bull.

ok yall need to read alittle more into this cell phone put out less waves than standing infront of your microvave, alot less so you would pretty much have to have a cell phone atached to you ear for about 3 days streight to get the same dose as yould get from waiting for a bag o popcorn to pop icon_grin.gif
