Ducky, I have found that I'm unbale to log on to AIM if the Bluetooth is not powered up.
The first thing you need to do is make sure you are paying for text messaging service on your phone.
I hope this helps!

Ducky,
Go to the Menu - Settings - Connection - select the Bluetooth symbol - Setup, and make sure the Power is set to 'On'.
After you set Bluetooth to 'On', exit out to the Menu and try logging onto AIM again.
This is not a guaranteed fix, but it worked for me.
Take care,
MC

Sorry that didn't work, Ducky.
You also (if you're using Cingular) might try taking the phone back to the store you purchased it from and let them know what the problem is. I've found that some of the store staff know more about the phones then the phone tech support.
As an example, I was having major trouble with singal an battery life. Signal was bouncing in areas I knwo it should work. And my battery was doing all kinds of weird s**t. I took it back to the store I purchased it from. They replaced the SIM chip and the battery. It now seems to be working perfectly.
I hope this helps.
