My friend has a V551 and a Bluetooth HS810 headset. Once we programmed the headset and phone, it worked great - until she shut off her phone. The next time she turned it on, the Bluetooth had completely disconnected, or "unbonded" with the phone, and we had to program it all over again. I've tried it numerous times, and it does this every time the phone is shut off. Does anyone have a similar problem OR does anyone know how to remedy this?

Many thanks!

Did you make sure the BT is turned on in the phone? When you pair it for the first time, it ask if you temporary want to turn on BT.
I am guessing that maybe the problem.

Yes, it was on. That was what I was referring to when I said "bonding." The phone asks if you want to "bond" to Bluetooth, and I said yes.

After a restart of phone, does the Bt icon lights up on the main screen as if it is looking for a BT device?

duceduc, do the fone reset itself after restarting?
i mean, once u do stuff on it like programming, will it erase it?
i dun think so, rite !!!!!!

how bout this.

when u restart the the fone, it will ask you if u wanna personalized your cellphone. i wonder if thats the problem.

When I say restart, I meant by turning off the phone. It will not reset the wap, mms, settings or delete any ringers/wallpapers u/l to phone.

However, if you master clear the phone, it will delete any ringers/wallpapers u/l to the phone.

Performing a master reset will only shif the settings around such as personalize setting to phone message, analog clock, smart keys showing in homescreen, etc.....

In respondsto redbeemerbabe thread, I wanted to know if the BT icon flashes when the phone is starting up. It may be as though the BT is not turned on. Just my guess.

How you mean? That message will only come up when you master clear or reset. Other than that, it won't prompt? It won't hurt the phone if that is what you meant.

Turn on your email.....

i meant when u switch on your fone there will b welcome note.
then it will ask "Personalize your phone?"
if "yes" it will load the personalize menu
if "no" it will just load your custom setting.

will that affect his BT? u mayb right bout his BT settings. or check BT history.

wat kind of headset is it anyway?

p/s: duceduc, sorry for not showing my email. here u go. Wat happened to PM. does this site doesnt offer that option?
